Equestrain Talk

Johnson horses

💙Working with horses is not only a 24/7 job, but it’s an ongoing learning process. Last year we struggled with something we never thought of being a problem for us, since we were doing “things by the book”. Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS) is a common problem amongst the equine population (more that we ever imagined) with studies showing up to 65% of performance horses suffer with this condition. It can sometimes show no clear or visible symptoms which is why it was so hard for us to figure this one out! With that in mind we thought of sharing this and many other of our experiences as horsemen and have recently started producing valuable content related to horse’s well-being that we’ll share on a regular basis through our social media channels. Our main goal is to give back to our industry and share our knowledge and experience using different products and services around us. We really hope you enjoy watching our videos and definitely give us some feedback! Stay tuned fore more episodes coming soon!! Desiree Johnson Johnson Horses

LEPTOSPIROSIS
EPISODE III

With very variable symptoms and easily over diagnosed, Leptospirosis (bacterial disease that is very common in horses) can we be widely overlooked… 👩‍⚕️We invited DMV @dapseifertcharlotte to give us a quick explanation on why it’s important to have a closer look at this, to keep our horses healthy, happy and comfortable! We hope everyone enjoys this episode and maybe also learn something🙏🏻
